Bali, one the most magical islands filled with a unique cultural experience. I have been to Bali over a dozen times and each time my experience continues to surpass the last. The world acclaimed luxury resort and private villas I always stay at include a private outdoor dining and living area, private plunge pool and an outdoor shower. Nestled in the jungle, this resort is nothing short of paradise.

Known for their unique settings, you ought to visit the famous temple landmarks of Bali. From a not-to-be-missed ancient Hindu Tanah Lot Temple overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean with daily Kecak dance performance, to Uluwatu Temple, one of six key temples of Bali’s spiritual pillars. The Tanah Lot Temple offers an incredible sunset backdrop and the Besakih Temple, also known as Bali’s “Mother Temple”, surrounds itself with scenic rice paddies, hills, mountains, streams and more.

Two of the most breathtaking rice paddies, namely Tegalalang Rice Terraces and Jatiluwih Rice Terraces are a must see!

The Ubud Monkey Forest not only attracts children but adults are amazed with the grey long-tailed macaques. Make sure you stop by the ancient temples in adjunction to your visit to the Ubud Royal Palace and the Ubud Art Market, where you can find beautiful silk, handmade woven bags, baskets, hats, and other handcrafted mementoes.

Bali Safari & Marine Park is the island’s largest animal theme park with 60 species ranging from elephants to baby orangutans and even baby sharks in the aquarium. Families traveling with children can also splash around at the water and amusement parks.

Be sure to visit Mount Batur (Kintamani Volcano) which includes the Toya Bungkah hot spring, Ulun Danu Batur Temple and a collection of other hot springs. Next explore the Kintamani area which consists of three main villages, Penelokan, Batur and Kintamani.

If you’re feeling creative, try your hand at a cooking class with the Jimbaran Bay Cooking Academy or a cocktail class with Culinary Tour de Force. Wanting to relax? Take part in a meditation and dynamic yoga program or pamper yourself with a water-healing spa treatment.

Enjoy a Chef’s Table concept evening at Mosaic, which embodies the philosophy of “Cuisine du Marché” or alternatively, enjoy a memorable evening in a private cabana accompanied by a Panyembrama dance and Javanese music performance.
