Besides the ancient monuments, the capital of Zagreb has a distinctly modern vibe with an unusual art and music scene. A number of drama and music festivals are held here every summer.

Continue your trip by visiting the Varazdin, one of central Europe’s best-preserved Baroque towns.

I highly recommend taking a trip to explore the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park with sixteen sapphire lakes and spouting waterfalls which are all surrounded by woodlands that are home to deer, bears, wolves and wild boar.

Hike the Velika Paklenica gorge to the top of Vaganski Vrh – you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view!

There are more than a thousand islands surrounded by unbelievably clear waters.  Hop onto a catamaran for an unforgettable adventure! Visit the Elaphite Islands (ie) Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan where you can visit the olive groves and vineyards and take a dip into the turquoise waters. Need more action, cocktails and beaches? Visit the stonehouse villages and be sure to visit Hvar Island where you can feast on the award-winning traditional Dalmatian cuisine. Finally, wind down and relax on the beautiful Island of Rab. Fun fact, if you are a fan of Mama Mia, visit the The Island of Vis where it was filmed!

While exploring the Dalmatian Islands, make sure you stop by the Diocletian’s former palace and enjoy an unforgettable nightlife experience.

Visit the Italianate Rovinj Town to Experience an Italian vibe with gourment Italian, seafood and Istrian Cuisine. Don’t Forget to visit the bell tower of St. Euphemia’s Church for  a beautiful view.
